Reverend Katie O'Hern Hamilton
Rev. Katie received her Master of Divinity and Master of Arts in Christian Education from Princeton Theological Seminary, where she was the recipient of the Raymond Irving Lindquist Fellowship for the Parish Ministry, being judged outstanding in her gifts and preparation for the parish ministry.
Since then, Katie has served as the pastor at John Wesley UMC in Hagerstown, the Minister for Discipleship & Mission at Asbury First United Methodist Church in Rochester, New York. Before that, she served as Administrative Pastor at Kingston United Methodist Church in Kingston, New Jersey. Katie is passionate about fostering an intergenerational church community, believing everyone has gifts to offer and challenges they face that could be helped by the gifts of others. With her new appointment at New Hope, she is looking forward to getting to know people and learning the charge & how each entity is unique. She has also heard amazing things about our community programs & involvement and is excited to become a part of it.
In her free time Katie enjoys being outdoors, camping, and hiking with her golden doodle, Monday, and her husband Ben. The two met on a hiking Meet-up and married in 2019. She also enjoys gardening, reading, and is an avid runner. Stating that running half marathons only makes her half crazy.
